Where could you already go?

Aerospace machining is already at or beyond motorsport tolerance. Usually a straight move.
Closest adjacent sector there is. Weight-critical design, certification discipline and CATIA are often already in place.
First-article inspection, CMM programming and non-conformance process transfer almost unchanged.
Same solvers, same meshing judgement, same turbulence modelling. The application changes, the method does not.
What stops a transfer is a tool, not a career change.
An engineer who has spent ten years designing pipework understands load paths, tolerance and design for manufacture. What a motorsport advert asks for on top is usually one named package they were never taught. These are the ones that come up, and where to go and learn them.
